I have gained practical knowledge across a broad spectrum of disciplines in the branding, design and packaging, marketing, sales, key accounting and research fields. My experience ranges from full service brand consultancy and market research with specific experience in quantitative research and ACNielsen, to trade negotiations, forecasting and strategic planning. I worked as the National Sales Manager for Backsberg Estate Cellars where I was responsible for 9 representatives and 8 distribution agencies nationally. Through new listings, relationship building and understanding of my brand I far exceeded sales targets set on an annual basis.

I have been involved with a broad base of FMCG clients in the food, liquor and health care categories including Distell, Philip Morris, Pioneer Group, Pfizer, Nestle, Danone Clover, General Mills, Revlon and KFC. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the work I have done with smaller niche clients and boutique wineries which include Bouchard Finlayson, Teddy Hall, Sterhuis, Dornier, De Grendel, Laibach, Stonehill, High Road, Louis, Nabygelegen, Ernst Gouws & Co, Bartinney, Hermit on the Hill, Buffet Olives and Conservation Africa.

I completed  my Certificate course through Cape Wine Academy in 2004 and have been studying my Diploma through them for 2 years which I am due to complete in 2011.  I passed the Wine Evaluation Course from Stellenbosch University run by Charl Theron in November 2009 and the Wine Judging Academy hosted at UCT Graduate School of Business by Michael Fridjhon and Wine Magazine in January 2011.  In October 2009 I also qualified as a Tour Guide for the Western Cape through Livingston Academy.

I have been running my KGB Wine business since June 2008 and am confident that I will continue to merge my skills, experience and passion to elevate KGB Wine into a unique, professional yet fun-filled business.
