Bot River Spring Festival – 31st Aug / 1st Sept

The annual Bot River festival is our rite of spring, wine lovers from near and far has an opportunity to meet vintners, taste their wines, and enjoy great food and music over the weekend.

This is a mere peak as to what we have lined up…

Wildekrans will be keeping the vineyards stirring with their live music, pink decor and the whiff of braais’ is certain to settle you down while sipping your favourite award winning wines.

Maremmana is up to something fishy, hook and cook your own trout, something to occupy the whole family and keep you hooked after tasting their wines.

Pop into Benguela Cove, their classic cheese platters with keep you going before your next stop.

Gabrielskloof is celebrating Spring with serenity, but that’s mainly due to the scenery , chef will be busy serving you their new trademark Overberg inspired tapas paired with your beloved wines .This year they are inviting guests to join them for sundowners on Saturday, bring the kids, enjoy live music and endless views of the beautiful Babylonstoren mountains.

Barton is the ultimate unwind spot, offering a bohemian feel to it all with their outdoor wine tasting lounge and snacks from the Aphrodisiac Shack. Olive spitting, Kettie shooting for the kids and their annual wine blending competition will keep the rivalry strong for an amazing prize.

Rivendell Wine Estate is showing off that local is lekker and will be hosting a BotPot potjie competition; be prepared for a taste bud alert paired along with their wines you’ll be tempted not to leave.

Beaumont Wine not only shows off with their wine but with food; prepared by the Zest Catering Company they have a delicious “plat du jour” available on Saturday. On Sunday celebrate the beginning of Spring with their legendary Barrel lunch (bookings only) teaming up with Genevieve bubbly this is the ideal way to end you weekend.

Beside all the events and activities on the farms; pop into the Bot River Hotel and let the vibe enthuse you or stroll through the “Plaas market”  at the Shuntin’ Shed on Sunday, Paardenkloof will be hosting wine tastings while you pick your local products to take home and remind you of us till your next visit.
